This month Marieclaire Italy did a big surprise to me: 2 cover, 1 photographer.My fav photographer: Jacques Olivar. Ok I just love these shoots and their mood. Let me know what do you think! Which is your fav? Mine is the one with Bambi.

Jacques con le sue modelle dai lineamenti molto delicati e dall'espressione ribelle riesce a regalarci ogni volt degli scatti perfetti! Il mood dei due servizi è molto femminile e a tratti eccentrico. Nei servizi di Elisabetta Massari c'è sempre una grande attenzione per il dettaglio e trovo che la scelta degli accessori sia questa volta, ancora più d'impatto. Si fanno notare, donano all'outfit un tocco di grinta femminile in Shannan chic  e un'aria grunge/baby in Gipsy queen.
Che ne pensate? A me queste immagini piacciono ogni giorno di più!

Exclusive interview to Jacques Olivar for "Grunge love"

Jacques Olivar did a new shoot for italian MarieClaire. When I saw the pics I felt in love with them, with model's style and poses, so I called Jacques for an exclusive interview and here's the result.

1. Which is your inspiration for the shoot "Grunge love"?
Terrence Malick did a movie called badlands. That was his first movie in the 90th. A story about the crazy escape of a young couple of serial killers in the 80 th. The thing is that it's all happening in the nature, so there is a "sweet" romanticism in their ride. Going from one house to another or living under a tree. I like the ideas as a departure point. Showed it to Elisabetta and here we went.

2. Is there a pic of the shoot that you prefer?
I take the whole story together. One picture brings the other.

3. About model pose have you got a specific idea or is something that can change during the shoot?
I never have any idea about what I'm going to do once we've got the story. I always let the model feel the situation. I only direct some details, some positions to be perfectly in tune with the mood. Fix the lightning perfectly. I never use Polaroid or digital. I really trust my feelings and the model's feeling. That's all. It's very simple in fact.

4. How was working with Elisabetta Massari?
We did a lot Elisabetta and I together! We know each others fantasies and crazyness. We can go quite far together without being wrong! And most of all she's a great artist and I really enjoy being with her and sharing the pleasure to create kind of stories for dreamers!

Quando ho visto "Grunge love" il nuovo servizio di Jacques Olivar per MarieClaire Italia sono rimasta senza parole, ero  incantata dalla bellezza degli scatti, dallo stile così glamour e senza tempo e dalle pose della modella. Così ho chiamato Jacques per chiedergli un'intervista esclusiva e questo è il risultato!

1. Qual è la tua ispirazione per il servizio "Grunge love"?
Sono partito dalle suggestioni del film Badlands di Terrence Malick ed ho sviluppato l'idea con Elisabetta Massari.

2. C'è una foto del servizio che preferisci?
Considero la storia nel suo insieme perchè uno scatto collega l'altro.

3. Riguardo alle pose della modella hai un'idea precisa di partenza o è qualcosa che modifichi durante gli scatti? 

Non ho mai un'idea precisa di come si svilupperà una storia. Lascio che la modella viva il momento. 

Sistemo alcuni dettagli perchè siano coerenti con l'atmosfera scelta. Ho totale fiducia delle mie emozioni e di quelle della modella.

4. Com'è stato lavorare con Elisabetta Massari?
Io ed Elisabetta lavoriamo da tempo insieme! Conosciamo molto bene le nostre fantasie e stranezze.
La nostra sintonia ci permette di fare molte cose diverse senza sbagliare! Più di tutto lei è una grande artista ed è un gioia poter condividere il piacere di creare una storia per sognatori!

A model with  doll face, big hairs, light eyes with eyeliner years '50, 

dressed with mini bustier, stockings, suspender and shoes with heels 12 cms; 

put her in an old place that seems to have old storys  to tell.

1. Which is your inspiration? 

    Street life 

2. What goes through your mind the day before the photo shoot?

    I have to change the strings on my guitar

3. If you would have to describe your work with a city, which one would you choose?

    Bute Montana

4. How do you choose models and locations?  

    The picture have to be done allready before the shoot

5. How would you like to be considered by the people looking at your work?

    Is he blind color? I'm blind color and only did black&white for many   years !

6. What is your biggest satisfaction?

    Traveling with my sailing boat ! 

7. Is there a model that you think "she's done for my pictures!"?

    Any model I choosed to work with !

2. Che cosa pensi il giorno prima del servizio fotografico?Dovrei cambiare le corde della mia chitarra.
3. Se dovessi descrivere i tuoi lavori con una città, quale sceglieresti?Bute Montana.
4. Come scegli le modelle e la location?Tutto deve essere pronto per il giorno del servizio.
5. Come ti piacerebbe essere considerato dalle persone che guardano i tuoi scatti?E' daltonico? Io sono daltonico e ho fotografato solo in bianco e nero per molti anni!
6. Qual è la tua soddisfazione maggiore?Navigare con la mia barca.
7. C’ è una modella che sembra fatta per le tue foto?Ogni modella con cui ho lavorato!
